3 years of the upgraded Moscow Northern River Terminal

The Northern River Terminal opened after an extensive restoration three years ago on Moscow Day. In the meantime the architectural landmark has restored its former glory: now it is used to run city-wide events, the park around has become a favorite recreation spot for Muscovites; some couples even have wedding receptions inside the station building.

In 3 years of operation more than 6 million people have visited the station, and more than 3.6 thousand cruise ships have been received and sent from the berths of the terminal. Besides, more than 950 free events have been launched there as well as over 200 couples got married at the Northern River Terminal thanks to the project «New addresses of happiness» that has been launched in 2021.

«The Northern River Terminal symbolises the rapid development of river transport in Moscow. The renovated building has everything that is necessary for the convenience of passengers. Travel ships go to 30 Russian cities by river tourist routes. On behalf of the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin we are developing Moscow Northern River Terminal, celebrating city holidays here, holding major festivals. Since September 2020, more than 950 free events have already been held there», — noted Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
