The Moscow Metro launched a train dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Moscow sports. Train cars are decorated with portraits of the legendary athletes of the city and their stories.

On June 27, 1923 the High Council of Physical Culture and its Moscow branch were established. This was the beginning of the rapid development of sport in the city. We congratulate our colleagues on the anniversary and are launching a themed train dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Moscow sports. It is symbolic that not far from stations of Line 1, on which it will run, there are significant sports facilities of the capital city, - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor for Transport.

According to Maksim Liksutov, the train will run along the Line 1 during six months.

The main celebration of the 100th anniversary of Moscow sport will take place on the 1st of July.
